FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

On a project-by-project basis we usually base this on time spent at a fixed hourly rate agreed in advance, or if you prefer we can agree a fixed price once the brief is shared.  Any adjustment to the fixed price will always be notified in advance if the work undertaken is outside the scope of the original brief.

On a day-by-day basis, our daily rates start from £250.00 up to a maximum of £400.00.  This includes any travelling* and parking costs which we may incur and these will not be charged separately.

No. As a collective we have the creative abilities to proceed within Jambo Creative Solutions. If you contract with us, it’s because you trust us.  We’ll return that trust with hard work and an honest open relationship.

Absolutely. Our creatives are Europe-based but with many of our clients spread across international offices, we’re used to working with teams that are in different time-zones than us.  We are happy to adapt as required.

We work on retention contracts, contracts per project/day, nda’s and other different formulas. Let’s have a chat and see which is best for you.  Click here to view an example of a standard fixed price contract.

This will depend on who our client is.

Individual clients – most of the time it’s unnecessary for you to get ‘ownership’ of design files. You’re unlikely to have a subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud or Audodesk Maya software, or have the steep learning curve involved in using the software to edit your file and editing or saving files incorrectly could cause problems and even cost you money.

According to www.gov.uk “In the case of literary, dramatic, musical or artistic works, the author or creator of the work is usually the first owner of any copyright in it. An exception is where artistic work is made by an employee in the course of his employment, his employer is the first owner of any copyright in the work (subject to any agreement to the contrary).” Another exception to this rule concerns brand identity work, such as logo design (which the company will trademark as their own) or websites, which require updating frequently.  In summary, as the individual client you are paying for the final artwork, not the tools that made it.

Marketing Departments/Agencies – if we are contracted specifically within an established company/department we usually work with files already owned by the client and produce work in accordance their brand and team guidelines and we are therefore unlikely to be the owner.  We retain the right to use the work without restriction in accordance with our terms of contract.

Individual Clients – Once we have assessed your design requirements, we will send you a quotation. Once accepted new clients are required to pay a 50% deposit before any design work is undertaken.

Marketing Companies/Design Agencies – we invoice every 30 days or at the completion of a specific project if within that period.

All clients are bound by standard 30 day payment terms, and late payments will incur fees of 10% of the value of the invoice after it becomes 14 days overdue.

Any additional design work above that agreed during the briefing process will require a new quotation being approved by the client. Additional rounds of amends may also be charged at an hourly rate.
